*Frequent vomiting, morning sickness?
*Food aversion?
*Backaches, headaches and tummy-ache?
*Crying for small reasons?
No, you are not drunk girl. That is the power of pregnancy. Yes, 100% pregnant, expect a life waiting to be born after 9 months of dealing with it. I'm posting this because I am going to be a soon - to - be - Mama. If you ask me, I can't wait to meet the one who's been punching, kicking, swirling and moving inside my fat tummy now. Pregnancy is new to me, and speaking of new --- Yes, it's my first child. My first little bundle of joy.
Being pregnant means getting all the attention you want and boy, that attention just turned into a party. Talk about having a baby and the stuffs that you need to do when the baby arrives and snuggles into your cozy arms. All the crying, the pooping and the feeding are all part of the routine, Mommy. Tah! The feeling is very exciting, nervous, stressed (But don't be), and thrilling.
You can't help but think and be the perfect parent for your child. Though, a lot of women are eager enough to have their own child but destiny just wouldn't allow for such a wish to be granted. I'm thankful enough to have my own, in an unexpected time. So, I want to share my thoughts, what to do when your pregnant..
When you're Pregnant, you have to:
1. Eat and get FAT - Eating a healthy meal allows your immune system to have the energy you need to start your day. But not only you, you are having a life inside of you which means you have to double the healthy meals --- Not eating for double, like 2 cups of rice, 2 fried chicken legs and a bowl of salad (jeez, It's making me hungry) But you have to consume the amount of food you and your baby needs. Eating fruits and vegetables help and eating it 6 small meals per day than eating 3 - 4 larger meals a day (fat fucking chances!).
2.Sleep - During pregnancy, you my notice early eye shut and you may feel tired when you work - out for like, 3 hours ( I mean light work - out). Just like me, I would sleep directly after arriving home from work. No wonder I was already pregnant at that time. You may need to sleep at a maximum of 7 - 8 hours a day. Girl, stress and fatigue should not get in the way of you being in the state of motherhood (soon - to - be). You have to relax and rest.
3. The Pregnancy (Sex) Hormones - Uh - uh. Don't mind the sexy curves now-a-days coz that hormones would be bothering you due to your sex hormones. I tell you, It is safe to still have sex while your pregnant, It helps the circulation of hemoglobin and It's healthy not only for the mother but also for the baby. Way to go dads! But be careful in those positions that are so uncomfortable for you, you might find it risky.
4. Exercise - I don't know if this is an advantage but It helps mother during the delivery day. It makes labour easy and a lot less painful. But don't push yourself too hard on doing exercises. Light exercises will help you maintain that good figure of yours. Do not overdo your body with lots of stuff, like running on a kickers, weighing heavy things, or doing sit-ups / push-ups. It can affect the little one inside of your womb and you might encounter a miscarriage. I suggest a brief walk in the park or walking for 3 minutes will help you do the trick or even pelvic exercises or kegel exercises (just search for those I mentioned). A fit mommy, can have a healthy baby.
5. Getting the Wants - "I'm hungry, I wanna eat cheeseburger with large fries and an orange juice", "Can you massage my back?", "I need a day - off", "Ice cream, please", and the most common wants of pregnancy excuses? The "absent for work" and everybody is okay with that coz they understand that you are pregnant. Most pregnant women needs rest and they always get what they want, especially the eating part --- Talk about major, major gain weight ( oh who cares? I'm pregnant anyway). But unlike any other pregnant women, many people are very controlling of what food you eat, what things you have to do (whether or not your tired), what procedure needs to be followed, such as superstitious belief.
6. Body Massage - Oh what a relaxing way to get comfortable with all those pregnancy fatigue and stress. It's a way to be relax and enlighten the mind during pregnancy. But be careful hot momma, some massages are prone to miscarriage. So better prescribe it to a doctor or your Obstetrician if it is okay to get a massage during pregnancy. Some massages that are allowed when a woman is pregnant and some are not, so better deal with what the doctor say.
7. Drink plenty of fluids - When I say fluids, I mean the water. Water helps maintain the fluids in your body and it also washes away those toxins, it doesn't only helps your body mommy but also for the growth of a healthy baby. You might get tired of walking around and peeing all the way down because of after drinking water, you tend to pee all of a sudden. But that is perfectly normal for every pregnant woman out there. Drink 8 - 10 glasses a day (200ml glass of water).
They say pregnancy is a healthy thing to have for women because aside from skipping the liquors and puffing on smoke. It makes every mother - to - be ready for a new chapter of their life -- being a parent. It's a healthy start on what to eat, what to do, avoiding the stress and bad vibes that surrounds you and pregnancy helps mommies-to-be shine bright. Like, when you are pregnant --- your skin starts to glow, hair on your head starts to be shinny and glowing, and it makes you look healthy too. But then it will all just fade away when pregnancy will end for 9 months after. But don't worry, you can still look fab and glam.
