Tips on How to have a Happy and Rewarding Life

i've been reading this book and it gives a lot of things in mind, well, since we all need something to live for and we wanted to have a happy and wonderful life. i'd like to share to you out there this helpful tips on how to have a perfect life (you know what i mean). Some of them, i have tried and some are still in process. i would like to express it in bullet form because i don't like cohesion, blah,blah, blah.
  • Have a dog.
  • Remember other people's birthday.
  • Have a firm handshake.
  • Say "thank you" a lot.
  • Say "please" a lot.
  • Learn to play musical instrument.
  • Sing in the shower. always.
  • Plant flowers every spring.
  • Own a great stereo system.
  • Be the first to say "hello"
  • Buy great books even if you never read them.
  • Drive expensive cars, but own the best house you can afford.
  • Be forgiving of yourself and others.
  • Learn three clean jokes.
  • If in a fight, hit first and hit hard.
  • Return all things you borrow.
  • Teach some kind of class. i have and this is my thing.
  • Be a student in some kind of class.
  • Treat everyone you meet like you want to be treated.
  • Donate two pints of blood every year.
  • Plant a tree on your birthday.
  • Learn to identify the music of Chopin, Mozart, and Beethoven.
  • Make new friends but cherish the old ones.
  • Keep secrets.
  • Take lots of snapshots.
  • Don't postpone joy.
  • Never give up on anybody. Miracles happen everyday.
  • Avoid overexposure to the sun.
  • Surprise loved ones with little unexpected gifts.
  • Stop blaming others. Take responsibility for every area of your life.
  • Never mention being on a diet.
  • Admit your mistakes.
  • Use your wit to amuse, not to abuse.
  • Vote.
  • Be brave. Even if your not, pretend to be. No one can tell the difference.
  • Whistle.
  • Hug children after you discipline them.
  • Never forget your anniversary.
  • Ride a bike.
  • Don't smoke.
  • Make it a habit to do nice things for people who'll never find out.
  • Attend class reunions.
  • Know how to type.
  • Use credit cards only for convenience, never for credit.
  • Take a brisk thirty-minute walk everyday.
  • Treat yourself to a massage on your birthday.
  • Smile a lot. It cost nothing and is beyond price.
  • Consider writing a living will.
  • Don't buy expensive, wine, luggage, and watches.
  • Learn to listen. Opportunity sometimes knocks very softly.
  • Remember people's names.
  • Learn to handle a pistol and a rifle safely.
  • Be tough minded but tenderhearted.
  • Pray not for things, but for wisdom and courage.
  • Avoid negative people.
  • Be kinder than necessary.
  • Give people a second chance, but never a third.
  • Never take actions when your angry.
  • Be romantic.
  • Measure people by the size of their hearts, not the size of their bank accounts.
  • Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know.
  • Never waste an opportunity to tell someone you love them.
  • Remember that a successful marriage depends on two things: (1) finding the right person; and (2) being the right person.
  • Accept pain and disappointment as part of life.
  • Be a good winner.
