The Godfather 1

i just finished watching this movie, though it's an oldie but it has a 9.2 in IMDb. guess it? it's The Godfather by Mario Puzo. it's a crime novel. Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando) is the aging head of the New York mafia family.  On the day of his daughter’s wedding, Connie (here)
This is Vito's sons: michale and sonny though i don't know the one on the right which is fredo (i think). tee hee!

he is busy listening and granting any reasonable request guests bring to him.  An old Sicilian tradition, and with his long mafia reach he is getting some tough, but still reasonable requests.  Youngest son Michael (Al Pacino) has just returned from WWII and is dating Kay (Diane Keaton), who seems to be the only blond at the wedding.  He tells Kay that he doesn’t want to be part of his family’s business.  After an assassination attempt on Vito (here)

Michael steps up, saves his father’s life from attackers coming to the hospital to finish the job.  Now Michael is in and wants revenge on his father’s attackers.  He does the family proud and goes into hiding in Italy for a while.  When he returns, Vito prepares to hand the family business over to Michael. In this harsh mafia world, there is little use for women.  They are the domestic creatures expected to prepare food and create sons to one day continue the business.  When Michael takes a wife in Italy, they don’t even speak the same language.  No big deal, right?  My biggest gripe is wondering why Kay married Michael after not hearing from him for over a year.  Perhaps it was just the desperation of being an old maid in the forties.  Fact is, the deeper Michael gets in the business, the further he has to be from Kay.  I’m afraid she’s just going to become that trouble making woman who doesn't know her place in this mafia family. so there you go (okay, i just searched some of it up). the important thing is the story of it all.

Marlon Brando: Don Vito Corleone, known to be the Godfather of the italian mafia (i think). may i say that he is extremely gorgeous? just look how tough he is, being the leader and all. he looks so hot, really.

Al Pacino: Michael Corleone, the youngest son of Vito. way hotter and more vicious. he is so good-looking.

that's why this saying is so familiar. "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer". why? coz you can kill your enemy easily. hahaha!
see? look how hot he looks like during his Godfather Part 1 movie. a guy like him can be very dangerous to hang with (sa movie ha? not in reality). i wanna kiss him, look at those tender lips. hahaha! okay, whatever. so he is the youngest, some of this photos i took are from the part 2 of the Godfather, wherein Michael had to take the place of his father who died after the whole heart-attack thingy.
male bonding.

  • during the first scene, Vito was holding a cat. yeah, he really looked tough, holding a cat? okay, okay, maybe i hate cats but idk what kind of cat he was holding but i am sure it's an italian cat (hahaha! okay, whatever then)
  • people really are asking for him which he grants all reasonable permission, oh what the heck! he's the Godfather for heaven sake.
  • did i say Al Pacino is 10 times hot? ----okay, i said that like a million times (including what i said while watching the movie)
  • the concept of Connies wedding is, i think, american. well, it looks like it and the preparations are very simple but extremely off-the-hook. when i say off-the-hook- it means that it's a really lovely wedding and it's tradition and classic since the benchmark of it looks old. and i love all the pretty ladies too and the floral dresses of each of them
  • while the wedding was still on, there was a scene there wherein they fucked (i think it was sonny with a woman, an ugly one).
  • the horse thing, okay, now this scene is really way scary. a head of a horse put on a bed and blood went with it. oh my gosh! i almost faint seeing to many reds and with a dead horse. poor horsey. classic can be very brutal sometimes but that's art right? it makes all movies look real and true with all that abrakadabra drama.
  • well, everything went brutal, especially when aiming a gun and who can see clearly where it would hit and blood drips out.
  • michael was seen wearing his navy suit and bringing along his girlfriend, Kay Adams--played by Diana Keaton. they were happily eating lasagna and chatting with each other.
Aren't  they perfect?
  • the kissing part of mafias distracts me but i think it's fine coz it's there way of saying hi or hello or welcome, or even thank you.
Although this scene is taken in Godfather 2 wherein, michael told fredo this phrase "i know it was you".
  • if you wanna know what was it about then better start watching the movie.

  • i like this part here, wherein michael shoots at both of them---- and serves them right for the assassination of Vito. but unfortunately michael run away because of that. many would want to kill him. that is why his family are at stake. poor thing. so he went to a far place where he found this girl:

  • she is beautiful too right? well, after michael saw her, everything jumps to conclusion.. they got married. leaving Kay, alone.
  • but unfortunately, this girl died (oops, i forgot the name) because other mafia knew where michael was hiding. so he didn't hide no more. michael returned back to his hometown and ask for Kay's hand in marriage. so the two of them reunited as one and had a baby boy.
  • Vito died of heart attack while playing with his grandson.
  • Michael had to take the place of his father as the Godfather. he's the Godfather to the child of his sister, Connie.
  • He decided to kill the other mafian who turns their back on the Corleone Family.
  • He also killed the husband of Connie. since his husband was making her a battered wife.
  • Michael is the successor in the family Corleone and the Godfather now.
The Michael Corleone Family.
